How to Cite Pancreapedia Entries

We encourage you to cite Pancreapedia entries as references in other publications and in your CV.  To facilitate citation, all peer reviewed entries (Reviews, Methods, and Molecule Pages) are being given Digital Object Identifiers or DOIs, which will be displayed at the top of each entry.  DOIs are an international system for identifying content in the digital environment.  Each name consists of a character string that identifies the publisher, the publication and the article.  When you cite Pancreapedia entries, you should include either the DOI (10.3998/panc.2010.xxxx) or the full DOI URL (http://dx.doi.org/10.3998/panc.2010.xxxx).

Typical Pancreapedia citations using the DOI:

Cane MC, Sutton R, Criddle DN. (2011).  Isolation of human pancreatic acinar cells from surgical tissue samples.  The Pancreapedia:  Exocrine Pancreas Knowledge Base, /tools/methods    DOI:  10.3998/panc.2011.xxxx

Grasso D, Vacarro MI. (2010). VMP1.  The Pancreapedia:  Exocrine Pancreas Knowledge Base,  /molecules/vmp1   DOI:  10.3998/panc.2010.xxxx

Typical Pancreapedia citations using the full DOI URL:
